Appalachian Springs, Hot Springs

This project represents what Buildable Mountain Land Co. has become: an opportunity to demonstrate restraint and respect for Appalachian mountain land through low-density development, well-considered usability, and buyer transparency.

Rather than maximizing lot count, Jason focused on creating a small collection of thoughtfully prepared properties designed to support a wide range of mountain living plans. Through extensive demolition and removal work, infrastructure improvements, and buyer-minded preparation, Jason and his team transformed a neglected mountain property into a more approachable and buildable ownership opportunity.

With graded access, electric and fiber, septic suitability, and exceptional privacy throughout, these forest-adjacent lots are now positioned for a new generation of mountain landowners.

Silas Branch, Burnsville

Acquired only five years after it was last logged, this project focused on uncovering overlooked value in a large mountain parcel through practical development work, debris clearing, selective underbrush removal, viewshed enhancement, and buyer-focused preparation.

The result was a set of mountain lots now home to a relocating retired couple, a family rebuilding after Helene, and a woman needing space for her two horses.

Big Pine, Marshall

A heavily wooded mountain parcel transformed through selective clearing, access improvements, and thoughtful site preparation.

What began as raw woodland became more buildable, usable, and visually compelling properties — now home to an A-frame rental cabin overlooking this newly opened long-range view, as well as a private RV retreat for a retiring military veteran.

Pine Hill, Fairview

A family of six searching for a fresh start in WNC first connected with Jason after missing out on a homesite at the Silas Branch project.

Jason later identified overlooked potential in an awkwardly shaped Fairview parcel that other buyers had passed over, then helped guide the project from raw woodland to completed mountain homesite.

From navigating access and utility easements to site planning, contractor coordination, and early-stage development oversight, Jason served as the family’s trusted local presence until they relocated to WNC and fully transitioned into managing the construction process alongside their builder.

Walnut Creek, Marshall

A young couple first connected with Jason as buyer prospects at the Big Pine project while searching for land to build a rustic wedding venue. Though that parcel ultimately wasn’t the right fit, Jason identified a better opportunity on the other side of Marshall: 29 acres of raw woodland that offered closer proximity to guest accommodations.

Working closely with them through acquisition, planning, and site development, he helped transform the property into the couple’s own mountain event space — where they held their wedding soon after.
